How to find a crypto transaction ID (TXID)

A transaction ID is the public receipt the blockchain assigned when the transfer was broadcast. Exchanges and wallets bury it under different labels: TXID, TxHash, transaction hash, blockchain hash. The string is long. An order number is short. Support cannot search the chain with the short one.

You do not need every platform's app. You need the sending product's withdrawal or activity screen, because that is the side that created the hash.

Telling us the destination lets TXLens check that platform's network support, minimum deposit, tag requirement and confirmation threshold. You can leave it blank and still see everything the blockchain says.

Free and unlimited. No account, no card, no wallet connection — a transaction ID is public information and it is all we need.

What you are looking for

On Bitcoin it is 64 hex characters with no 0x prefix. On Ethereum and other EVM chains it is 66 characters starting with 0x. On TRON it is 64 hex characters. On Solana it is a base58 signature, often longer than an address. If what you copied is an email subject, a six-digit code, or something that looks like an IBAN, it is not a TXID.

SourceUsual labelWhere it sits
BinanceTxID / Transaction IDWallet → Transaction History → the withdrawal row
CoinbaseTransaction hash / blockchain explorer linkAsset → the send row → transaction details
KrakenTransaction IDFunding → History → the withdrawal
MetaMaskTransaction ID on the activity itemActivity tab → the send → copy transaction ID
Trust WalletTransaction IDThe token → the outgoing row → share or copy hash
Ledger LiveOpen in explorer / transaction IDAccounts → the operation → explorer link

Menu names move. If the current app hides the hash, the official article for that product is the source of truth.

When the sending platform has no hash yet

A withdrawal that still says processing, reviewing or awaiting approval has not been broadcast. There is nothing on-chain to paste. That is a sender-side delay, not a destination-side missing deposit. Asking Coinbase why a Binance withdrawal has no TXID is the wrong queue.

Paste it here once you have it

TXLens only needs the hash. It works out the network, so you do not have to pick TRC20 versus ERC20 from memory. If the string is an order ID, the check will not find a transaction — that is useful information, not a site error.

What you get, and what it costs

Free, always

The transaction check: network, asset, amount, both addresses, timestamp, on-chain status, confirmation count, and a copyable evidence message for support. No diagnosis.

£9.99, one-off

The diagnosis: the likely cause, recovery outlook, step-by-step instructions, the official support route, wording written for that case, and 72-hour monitoring. No subscription.

Questions

Is a TXID secret?

No. It is public once the transfer is on the chain. Anyone with the hash can see the amount and addresses. That is why a diagnosis service can work from a TXID alone, and why nobody legitimate needs your seed phrase as well.

Ledger Live does not show a hash. What then?

Open the operation and use the explorer link Ledger Live attaches. The explorer URL contains the hash. Copy from the explorer's transaction page, not from the address page.
